🧂 Ingredients (U.S. Standard Measurements)
- 3 ripe mangoes (or 2 cups mango puree)
- 4 cups water (for tea)
- 3 black tea bags (or green tea for a milder version)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves and mango slices, for garnish
🍳 Instructions
1. Brew the Tea
Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep the black tea bags for 5–7 minutes. The longer the steep, the stronger the flavor. Discard tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
2. Make the Mango Puree
While the tea cools, peel and dice the mangoes. Blend the mango flesh until smooth. If the puree is too thick, add a splash of water or lemon juice.
Note: For an ultra-smooth texture, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve.
3. Mix and Sweeten
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, mango puree, honey (or sugar), and lemon juice if using. Stir until fully combined and sweetener is dissolved.
4. Chill and Serve
Add 2 cups of cold water to dilute and chill the tea. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or serve immediately over a tall glass of ice.
5. Garnish
Top with fresh mint leaves, mango slices, and a lemon wedge for extra flair!
