Ingredients
For the Big Mac Wraps:
- 500g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (120g)
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce (about 40g)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 70g)
- ½ cup pickles, sliced (about 50g)
For the Big Mac Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (45g)
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard (15g)
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (15g)
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar (5ml)
- 1 tablespoon sweet relish (15g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (2.5g)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Big Mac Sauce
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, ketchup, white vinegar, sweet relish, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Stir the mixture well until smooth and creamy. Set aside in the fridge to chill while you prepare the other ingredients.
Step 2: Cook the Beef Patties
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked through, about 6-7 minutes.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Wraps
- Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface.
- Place one slice of cheddar cheese in the center of each tortilla. Add about 125g of cooked beef on top of the cheese.
- Drizzle a generous amount of the Big Mac sauce over the beef.
- Top the beef with a handful of shredded lettuce, some chopped onion, and a few pickle slices.
- Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly to enclose all the ingredients inside.
Step 4: Toast the Wraps (Optional)
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the wraps seam-side down on the skillet.
- Toast each wrap for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. This step is optional but adds a nice crunch and texture to the wraps.
Step 5: Serve
- Slice the wraps in half and serve immediately. You can enjoy them with extra Big Mac sauce on the side for dipping.
